Tuesday, April 22, 2014 (Williams, AZ)

We had talked about heading back to the Grand Canyon today, but the forecast was for winds 20-30 mph with gusts of 40-50 mph so we decided to wait a day, plus I needed another day to recuperate from yesterdays hike.

At the hotel/railway before the train leaves in the morning they put on a "Wild West" show, so we thought we would wander over and check it out.  We were surprised at how many people attended the show and then ride the train to the Grand Canyon.

Wild West Show

Grand Canyon train with 13 passenger cars and two extra engines

The Wild West show was cute though Gracie didn't like the fake "gunshots", they were a bit loud for her ears.

After the show was over and the train was loading we walked down and checked out this steam engine they have on display.

This train is huge

While we were waiting for the train to depart, one of the Wild West characters walked by and so took advantage of a photo opportunity

They were sure correct on the wind forecast, we've had some pretty good gusts shake the 5er.  The wind is forecast to end around 7:00 p.m. and it can't be soon enough for me.  The rest of the day was just spent around the 5er staying out of the wind just chilling out....
