Saturday, May 4, 2013 (Florence, Oregon)

We woke up to more sunshine today.  We have really had some amazing weather while we've been on the coast.  It's suppose to be in the 80's today.  After breakfast we decided to go for a walk on the beach with Gracie.  When we checked out the beach on Thursday, there wasn't a soul on it, well it was a different story today.  The beach was the place to be.  We decided to walk down to the jetty, I think it's called the north jetty.  It was quite a jaunt.  As usual, we threw Gracie's ball the whole way down and most of the way back.

After we got back from our walk, we had some lunch and talked about going up to see Heceta Lighthouse, but decided to spend some time relaxing with our books outside.  It was starting to get very warm and our chairs and books sounded very inviting.

We spent the afternoon reading and at one point walked to the little store here to get an ice cream to help us cool off.  The gal at the store said they only get really warm days like this once in a great while.  We were glad they were getting one while we were there, it was so very nice outside.  We decided to take another walk down on the beach before dinner, so off we went.  The beach was even more crowded than before.  We walked in the surf some and on the sand some and of course threw Gracie's ball.  The wind started whipping up pretty good and blowing the sand across the beach, so it was time to head back to our rig.

What a beautiful day at the Oregon coast.  We're loving it.
